Sentinel Framework - Puzzle Game Development
As part of the Sentinel game framework in Unreal Engine, I developed a dynamic puzzle game, integrating a range of engaging mechanics to enhance complexity and player interaction. My contributions included:

  • Laser Maze: Designed a maze filled with moving and static laser traps, requiring players to navigate carefully while managing timing and positioning. The mechanics encouraged critical thinking and precise control.

  • Camera Switching System: Implemented a feature allowing players to switch between multiple camera angles or perspectives to gain insight into the puzzles. This mechanic enhanced gameplay strategy and added a layer of spatial reasoning.

  • Minefield Puzzle: Created a hazardous environment where players had to identify safe paths through a grid-like minefield using clues. This puzzle involved deductive reasoning and memory retention.

  • Ball-Pushing Puzzle Function: Developed a physics-based mechanic where players had to push or roll balls into designated areas to unlock progress. The challenge lay in precise control and overcoming obstacles.

  • Button Puzzle: Designed a sequence-based puzzle requiring players to activate buttons in the correct order, often involving patterns or environmental hints. This encouraged logical thinking and experimentation.

  • Dodging Moving Lasers Puzzle: Created dynamic challenges where players had to avoid lasers that moved in unpredictable patterns, testing reflexes, spatial awareness, and adaptability.

This project demonstrates my ability to design and implement diverse gameplay elements, combining technical expertise with creative problem-solving to create engaging player experiences.
